Calm Decisions

I appreciate the feeling of calm.

Everyone I know appreciates the feeling of calm.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, appreciates the feeling of calm.
—————-

I breathe into the feeling of calm.

My body is relaxed.

I feel that I can trust the day.

I will make sound and delightful decisions.

With this breath, I know that I will do what is deeply important and fulfilling for me.

I am here to be happy and fulfilled.

My recognition of this insures that I will make decisions which take me closer to my goal.

When I am clam and undistracted, I am in harmony with my surroundings.

As I breath into my own presence, I feel the rightness of being where I am.

I recognize that even discomfort causes me to move in a direction which will take me closer to my goal.

I breathe and feel calm.

New Tools

I am so grateful to develop new tools for expression.

Everyone I know is so grateful to develop new tools for expression.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is so grateful to develop new tools for expression.

—————-

I have signed up for an on-line course in foundations of drawing.

This is a new step for me.

I am able to do it because I have spent several years teaching myself how to draw.

I am ready for some more help now.

I have had a couple of weekend classes, and an on-line lettering class.

But now, I feel I am ready to pay more attention.

I am ready to learn some techniques which have eluded me.

Even so, the time I have spent on my own is valuable.

Creative work in zentangle styles has given me a steadier hand.

It is easier and faster for me to draw leaves to identify trees.

So, I am seeing progress on my own.

Now, after being a terrified adult beginner, I feel better about taking a new step.

Drawing with more understanding will widen my foundation for graphic expression.

It is a whole new world for me.

Choosing What I Think About

I am so grateful I can choose what I think about.

Everyone I know is so grateful they can choose what they think about.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is so grateful they can choose what they think about.

———————

As I noticed more and more tension building up in my mind and body, I realized I had to change the focus of my thoughts.

I had gotten so caught up in what the world was delivering to me, that I became more and more distraught.

Then, I remembered that I, too, can send out information.

And the information that I can send out can be healing.

So I chose to look for the healing thought which I can apply to the disturbing images of world situations.

Here is what I am finding:

Gratitude, deep profound gratitude for those who are standing up to protect the integrity of our natural resources.

Respect for their immense courage.

Great respect for their peaceful methods.

Their clear understanding and expression for what they are doing.

Their consistency and self-respect.

These are the true voices which must be heard.

People’s voices, not corporate entities.

I am grateful for their participation in the healing of our earth, their continuing stewardship and leadership.

What I Truly Love

I am so grateful to discover what I truly love.

Everyone I know is so grateful to discover what they truly love.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is so grateful to discover what they truly love.

——————-

Even though I was taught what was “right” and “best” and to be obedient and disciplined into attaining it, I have discovered a different path.

It is the path toward what I truly love.

There is a requirement of the Universe to express our own individuality, despite what surrounds us.

We were created to utilize the infinite resources of the Universe, and we can’t do that if we are following someone else’s directive.

It can be society’s directive, or parents, or career counselors, or a significant other’s.

But if it isn’t ours, we will never be completely peaceful and joyously satisfied.

We need the wholeness and delight of our individuality.

It is fun to invent a new job, career, and product line and to know that the Universe is supplying It’s unlimited resources to make it happen.

All we need to do is to keep walking down the path of what we truly love.

The next idea and the next and the next will keep coming to us.

As we act on each tiny step, the next one will appear.

It is interesting to note how far and how divergent the path is from the one we were pushed into.

But we can change to our new path, gently and firmly, as we are directed by our joy and our delight.

And everyone and everything which belongs there with us will be there, too.

Building New Patterns

I am making progress despite the patterns from the past.

Everyone I know is making progress despite the patterns from the past.

Everyone I don’t even know all over the planet is making progress despite the patterns from the past.

———————

Many past patterns are no longer useful or helpful to me.

I have had to build new ones for myself in order to move forward.

Sometimes that has involved letting go of old situations and even physically placing myself in a new environment.

In some cases, it has even involved altering the family structure.

What does it take to heal?

If we don’t take the responsibility to take the steps for ourselves, who will?

If we don’t take those steps, we will end up where we started from, an intolerable situation.

So, triage.

Save yourself and let other people save themselves however they will.

Allow enough healing to take place until it generously overflows into as many areas as possible.

Break the old, build the new and keep building.

Life isn’t over yet and time keeps us moving on.

Growing is a choice for all of us.

Keep growing and don’t give up.

Simple Skills

I am grateful for the simple skills I have learned.

Everyone I know is grateful for the simple skills they have learned.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is grateful for the simple skills they have learned.

————————

I have been hand-sewing some “spiritual treasure” bags I started a while back.

I knitted the bags, then stitched alining in them, added a shoulder strap and a pocket.

It gives me peaceful joy.

I will add a meditation written on affirmation cards to each bag.

Drawing on inspiration complements the simple skills of knitting and hand-sewing.

Make simple gifts is a gift in itself.

Continued Good Practice

I am so grateful that continued practice, even over a very long time, will, at last, yield positive results.

Every one I know is so grateful that continued practice, even over a very long time, will, at last, yield positive results.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is so grateful that continued practice, even over a very long period of time, will, at last, yield positive results.

————————-

As I journaled to resolve a long held child memory, I felt the relief of discovering the solution.

This was the first time that my replacement practice was strong enough and consistent enough to override the child memory.

I feel that reaching and recognizing the resolution could only have come once there was a strong enough replacement for the memory of that event.

All the long years ago, the feeling that had stayed with me, kept reinforcing itself.

It had the effect of separating and depriving me of new things, just as the old event had done.

But now, I realize that the work I have been doing since then has been lifting me up so that I can defeat the debilitating effects of that long-ago memory.

I have become strong enough to overpower the effects of long-term reinforcement of a lie.

I am so very grateful.
