What I Truly Love

I am so grateful to discover what I truly love.

Everyone I know is so grateful to discover what they truly love.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is so grateful to discover what they truly love.

——————-

Even though I was taught what was “right” and “best” and to be obedient and disciplined into attaining it, I have discovered a different path.

It is the path toward what I truly love.

There is a requirement of the Universe to express our own individuality, despite what surrounds us.

We were created to utilize the infinite resources of the Universe, and we can’t do that if we are following someone else’s directive.

It can be society’s directive, or parents, or career counselors, or a significant other’s.

But if it isn’t ours, we will never be completely peaceful and joyously satisfied.

We need the wholeness and delight of our individuality.

It is fun to invent a new job, career, and product line and to know that the Universe is supplying It’s unlimited resources to make it happen.

All we need to do is to keep walking down the path of what we truly love.

The next idea and the next and the next will keep coming to us.

As we act on each tiny step, the next one will appear.

It is interesting to note how far and how divergent the path is from the one we were pushed into.

But we can change to our new path, gently and firmly, as we are directed by our joy and our delight.

And everyone and everything which belongs there with us will be there, too.

Building New Patterns

I am making progress despite the patterns from the past.

Everyone I know is making progress despite the patterns from the past.

Everyone I don’t even know all over the planet is making progress despite the patterns from the past.

———————

Many past patterns are no longer useful or helpful to me.

I have had to build new ones for myself in order to move forward.

Sometimes that has involved letting go of old situations and even physically placing myself in a new environment.

In some cases, it has even involved altering the family structure.

What does it take to heal?

If we don’t take the responsibility to take the steps for ourselves, who will?

If we don’t take those steps, we will end up where we started from, an intolerable situation.

So, triage.

Save yourself and let other people save themselves however they will.

Allow enough healing to take place until it generously overflows into as many areas as possible.

Break the old, build the new and keep building.

Life isn’t over yet and time keeps us moving on.

Growing is a choice for all of us.

Keep growing and don’t give up.

Simple Skills

I am grateful for the simple skills I have learned.

Everyone I know is grateful for the simple skills they have learned.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is grateful for the simple skills they have learned.

————————

I have been hand-sewing some “spiritual treasure” bags I started a while back.

I knitted the bags, then stitched alining in them, added a shoulder strap and a pocket.

It gives me peaceful joy.

I will add a meditation written on affirmation cards to each bag.

Drawing on inspiration complements the simple skills of knitting and hand-sewing.

Make simple gifts is a gift in itself.

Continued Good Practice

I am so grateful that continued practice, even over a very long time, will, at last, yield positive results.

Every one I know is so grateful that continued practice, even over a very long time, will, at last, yield positive results.

Everyone I don’t even know, all over the planet, is so grateful that continued practice, even over a very long period of time, will, at last, yield positive results.

————————-

As I journaled to resolve a long held child memory, I felt the relief of discovering the solution.

This was the first time that my replacement practice was strong enough and consistent enough to override the child memory.

I feel that reaching and recognizing the resolution could only have come once there was a strong enough replacement for the memory of that event.

All the long years ago, the feeling that had stayed with me, kept reinforcing itself.

It had the effect of separating and depriving me of new things, just as the old event had done.

But now, I realize that the work I have been doing since then has been lifting me up so that I can defeat the debilitating effects of that long-ago memory.

I have become strong enough to overpower the effects of long-term reinforcement of a lie.

I am so very grateful.

Nature's Planning vs. Metropolitan Pushing

I am so grateful to notice the difference between planning and pushing.

Everyone I know is so grateful to notice the difference between planning and pushing.

Everyone I don’t even know all over the planet, is so grateful to notice the difference between planning and pushing.

———————

As I live in the country and go to my studio in the city, I notice the pace of Nature vs. the pace of the metropolis.

Even a small city has pressures which do not exist in the country.

Just because of the “conveniences” which we take for granted, running water and electricity, ease of transportation, close proximity to grocery stores, gas stations, clothing and other needs, we are speeded up in our ability to get things done.

But…

…it is not necessary to go at the city pace all the time.

There are times where the convenience is great because of the amount of productivity we can accomplish.

But…

…it is easy to over schedule and be pressured far beyond a healthy state.

This is how I used to live in my large metropolitan setting.

Now that I live in the country and have been able to observe and experience the pace of Nature for three years, I am greatly calmed, noticing that everything does evolve in its best way and pace according to the seasons.

I am grateful to add conveniences.

Hauling water in five gallon bottles was not my long-term plan.

Having electricity and water for canning and other needs at hand is also convenient, and having the internet available from a studio setting instead of having to go to an internet cafe for it is also a time saver.

But…

…I do not have to do everything at once, just because it is so easy.

My mind and body still need time to relax to move at a healthy pace.

So with this awareness, I am now redesigning my production to take advantage of the conveniences, but to also plan for the relaxation throughout my day that lets me move at the healthy pace of Nature.
